The Spunky Pup Fly & Fetch Duck is a realistic looking retrieval toy featuring a built-in bungee cord. Stretch back the bungee cord in the toy’s neck, release and it will fly up to 30 metres. The top outer shell is made from extremely durable, ballistic nylon, with a plush underside plush. The extended wings add flapping interest and the tail is cotton rope.
The toy floats so is ideal for games of fetch at the park, lake or beach.

Super-fun toy that my friend’s standard poodle loves to fetch. The only critique – and it’s rather a big one – is that the underside of the duck is made of much lighter fabric than the otherwise practically indestructable upper-side of the toy; this means that it can be easily ripped if the dog grabs it too roughly, and stuffing starts flying out. Pretty much irreparable after that. Actually, there is another big problem with this, which is that if the stretchable (elastic) beak is pulled too far out it will bring out the anchoring plastic do-dad, which won’t retract and then one has a truncated duck, which still flies, but is much less fun to use. Having said all that, it’s a lot of fun for the human and their dog, and with careful oversight it ought to last at least a summer. It helps very much to purchase it when on sale, which is why I’m stocking up!
