Simply Seaweed is a dental care, dietary supplement for dogs and cats. It is 100% high-quality, certified organic Ascophyllum nodosum.
Dental disease is the most common ailment affecting pets. Approximately, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some degree of dental disease by the age of three years. Unfortunately, most dental diseases occurs below the gum line where they are not visible. Dental disease can contribute to a range of other health conditions including malnutrition, heart disease, liver disease and kidney disease, which can shorten the lifespan of your pet.
Ascophyllum nodosum works in several ways to improve dental hygiene, due to its natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-adhesive properties. Existing plaque is softened and new plaque is prevented from sticking to teeth. The actual mechanism by which it works is still not fully understood, but it is thought that the saliva is affected by the seaweed’s phenols, iodine, phosphates, fucoidans, sulphur, zinc, silicates and sulphates.
Easy to use: Just sprinkle the recommended dosage on top of your pet’s meal, or mix in.
Daily Dosage Guide
Cats and Small Dogs (up to 10kg) 1 to 2 pinches (1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon) Medium Dogs (10kg to 25kg) 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Large Dogs (25kg to 50kg) 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Giant Dogs (50kg+) 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon of Simply Seaweed is approximately 3g.
Do Not Give To:
Do not give to animals with thyroid issues unless under veterinary supervision. Do not give to animals that are allergic or intolerant to seaweed, kelp, fish, shellfish or seafood. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing animals. No recommended for animals under six months of age. Not recommended for use in conjunction with other seaweed or kelp supplements. If you are unsure if Simply Seaweed is suitable for your pet, please consult your veterinarian.
