Scruffs Cool Bed

Australian hot summers can be distressing for your pet.

The Scruffs self cooling gel bed has three layers of comfort.  A breathable mesh membrane provides air flow between your pet and the self cooling gel mat.  This is supported by a foam cushion with a non-slip base.  Side bolsters give additional comfort and support.

The Cool Bed does not require water, freezing, or electricity to activate.  The Cool Bed works by absorbing body heat and dissipating this back through evaporation from the exposed mat surface.  The cooling mat remains around 5 – 10 degrees below ambient temperature.  To reset the cooling properties of the bed, leave unused for one hour.

The Cool Bed is useful as an aid in the treatment of medical conditions that respond well to cooling.

Your dog’s body heat will eventually cause the bed to warm up and so it is recommended that from time to time, you move your dog and allow the ambient temperature to “recharge” the mat.  The Cool Bed should always be used in shade.

To clean, simply remove the cooling gel mat which can be wiped with a damp cloth.  (If soiled, a mild detergent can be used.)  The cover can be machine washed at 30 degrees.
